Abstract
Water scarcity has become a real threat to human life, especially in arid and semi-arid regions in developing countries. Population growth and rising living standards have significantly increased water consumption. The share of water in the agricultural sector is significant, and saving water in this sector can be a way to compensate for the water shortage. One of the challenges in the agricultural sector in any country, including Iran, is the low productivity of inputs and production resources. On the one hand, this issue has led to an increase in production costs and, as a result, the finished price of products, and on the other hand, it reduces the amount of production. Water has always had a special place among production resources and inputs. The importance of this input in our country is doubled due to limited resources, low irrigation efficiency and the wastage of a major part of water resources in the agricultural sector.
